How can I help you?

Do you feel you are living someone else’s life? You want to change but don’t know how? What if it doesn’t work out? Why others have a perfect life and I am still struggling? Do you feel the pressure of the expectation to have your life figured out already by your age?

Change is inevitable. Nothing stays the same. The world evolves, technology advances, and we as individuals have the chance to grow.

Change can be important and good because it pushes us out of our comfort zones, leading to personal growth and new opportunities, but not always easy or comfortable. It depends on us. I also went through changes, being a teacher, a librarian and now a life coach. It all added to my life experiences, but the road was not without bumps.

Hi, I’m Erika, life transitions coach.

If the obstacles in your life took you on a roller coaster ride, and want to learn to be more resilient, or want a healthier work-life balance, or want to figure out what to do about something that didn’t work so far in your life, I can help you.

Friends and family, your work and people around you are connections that are creating a net. When there is a problem somewhere, this net gets lopsided, strings are pulled or there are holes in there.

Together we’ll find the main strings. You will lead the way and create the life or circumstances you want, fixing, pulling the strings, tightening the net, bringing it back to even.

So you will have a healthy and strong net to catch you and bounce you back when new change comes into your life.

What is life coaching?

Life coaches help to clarify your goals, wants and desires, your purpose, and your passion and can help other ways to improve your life. If you are interested in self-development, want to set and achieve goals, perhaps change behaviors, habits and your mindset, and in general want to improve your life socially, physically, emotionally and financially, work with a life coach.

Coaches help to bring awareness of what’s behind your feelings, they help to identify what’s causing you being stuck and help you to come up with resolutions. They also help you to stick with these resolutions to create a happier, more satisfying life.

Life coaches are not therapists. In a session life coaches focus on the present and the future of the client, versus a therapist is more interested of the past and how the past affects the client’s present. Therapists have the education and license to diagnose and treat mental problems, while life coaches don’t.

It is important to find the right coach for you. Training and certifications from ICF or CCE accredited training schools provide an excellent foundation for life coaches.  After graduating from these programs life coaches use the abbreviation BCC, as board certified coach, or ICF ACC, PCC or MCC as International Coach Federation Associate, Professional or Master Coach.

“When we tackle obstacles, we find hidden reserves of courage and resilience we did not know we had.

And it is only when we are faced with failure do we realize that these resources were always there within us.

We only need to find them and move on with our lives.”
