Specifically Tailored to Each Individual Client

When I work with my clients, I always tailor the coaching program after the client’s specific needs and wishes.

If you decide to do coaching with me, in the first couple of sessions we will focus on establishing what your overall goals with the coaching are, and what you are hoping to get out of it in the end.

The next step is then slowly gaining awareness about what is holding you back, or keeping you stuck in terms of negative emotional mind patterns or habits.

Here, unprocessed trauma and negative beliefs about yourself might surface, and we will slowly take a closer look at these, to get awareness about their root causes. We will then slowly start to untangle the negative beliefs, so you can learn to shift perspective, understand yourself better, and ultimately move forward.

In each coaching session we will check in with the coaching goals that you originally started out with, to see if these might have changed over the course of the sessions (which they sometimes do). The coaching goals function as our “northern lights” that we try to steer after in each session to make sure that you are moving towards what is most important for you.

Coaching sessions are very client-led. You choose the overall focus in each session, and in between sessions we might agree on “home play” that can support the work we are doing in the sessions.

 

Deep Emotional Work

I am a true believer of the saying that “what we resist persists”.

The work I do with my coaching clients therefore always involves working on a deeper emotional level. This means looking at what emotions are coming up for you during the session, and what you might be resisting or pushing down emotionally, as this is where we need to start, if you want to create lasting change.

When doing deep emotional work like this, I will support you to stay with whatever is surfacing, in order for you to process the emotions and move past them, so they are not keeping you stuck.

Coaching with me also involves looking at the negative beliefs, you might be holding about yourself on a subconscious level, or the stories you are telling yourself about your life, and who you are.

Often, we have created these stories subconsciously at a young age, and they might not serve us anymore as adults. They might even become negative self-fulfilling prophecies, that are keeping us stuck in negativity and self-criticism.

In this case, I will support you to reframe the stories you are telling yourself into something more positive and empowering. Furthermore, through our work together you will begin to see that you have a choice in life of how you choose to react and think, and that you can choose to believe more empowering perspectives about yourself and your life. In this part of the coaching, we will also work on creating more awareness about your strengths, and boosting your self-acceptance and self-love.

 

Re-Connecting the Mind and Body

Working with me also involves re-connecting the mind and body more, as so many of us in this modern life tend to live purely in our rational heads and thinking minds, which cuts us off from accessing the wisdom in our bodies and our hearts.

In our work together, we will therefore also focus on getting you to notice what is going on in your body in order to train you in creating a bigger awareness about your body. This will support you in becoming better at switching off the “thinking brain” that for many runs on auto-pilot all the time, and connecting with your gut feelings and inner wisdom again.
