How I Live PERMA
For me, well-being isn’t about big dramatic changes—it’s built from small rituals, moments I notice, and choices that feel good to my inner world.
Of course, I’m not perfect. Sometimes I feel down, unmotivated, or not enough.
And then I remember: I’m human.
I feel—whether it’s “good” or “bad.” And that feeling itself is part of being alive.
P – Positive Emotions
Gratitude, joy, pleasure, hope, play… following these emotions
There are tiny doors that open to positive emotion in my everyday life:
-
my morning cacao ritual
-
my journaling time
-
hugging my daughter (when she lets me!)
-
feeling my cat sleeping on me
-
breakfast with my husband
-
the wind touching my face while walking
When I consciously follow these feelings…
the tone of the day shifts.
My body softens, my mind clears.
E – Engagement / Flow
“Where do I feel time stop?”
-
while cooking
-
organizing the house
-
walking in nature
-
writing
-
during meditation
-
learning something new
-
watching a good movie or documentary
-
coaching
In these moments, my body feels lighter and my mind becomes quiet.
I find myself simply being.
R – Relationships
My Web
My family, my friends, the people I meet on my coaching journey…
They are the pillars of my well-being.
I choose to build my relationships on compassion, honesty, and trust.
And I know this for sure:
the energy of the people you surround yourself with shapes your life.
M – Meaning
Why do I wake up in the morning?
Meaning, for me, is…
-
that “lightbulb moment” in a coaching session
-
witnessing my daughter grow and transform
-
seeing both my own evolution and my husband’s in our marriage
-
the healing smell and taste of a simple soup I make in the kitchen
-
noticing the feeling of wind on my face
(this always reminds me of the scene in City of Angels where the angel feels the wind for the first time) -
learning how to stay flexible in uncertainty
These are my small but deep roots—what keep me connected to life.
A – Achievement / Small Steps
Moving toward myself — step by step
I used to choose big, demanding goals.
That’s how I was raised: “What’s difficult is valuable.”
Now, I’ve softened.
Small, easy, sustainable goals feel so much better for me.
-
instead of reading 3 books at once, I choose just 1
-
I started strength training with only 15 minutes once a week
-
I do one tiny thing each day to keep the house tidy
(yes… sometimes it falls apart, I’m human) -
when I go shopping, I target only one store
because more than that drains me
In short:
I set my priorities, take small steps, and move forward at my own rhythm.
And these small steps make me stronger, more balanced, and more myself.
