Q1: What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a transformative process that helps individuals achieve their personal and professional goals. Through guided sessions, a life coach provides support, strategies, and accountability to help clients overcome obstacles and make positive changes in their lives.

Q2: How is life coaching different from consulting or mentoring, or therapy?

Here’s a simple definition: Coaching is an action-oriented goal-based approach to help you achieve transformation, and in this, the coach will be your partner and guide.  Unlike mentoring, consulting, or therapy, where someone is giving advice and telling you what to do and how to do it, you will decide your own way forward.  Also therapy is focused on the past, while coaching is present and future focused.

Q3:  Coaching sounds like consulting. What’s the difference?

In essence, consulting provides specific solutions, which may or may not be sustainable. A consultant, an expert in the field, offers advice and tangible deliverables such as reports, assessments, and structures. On the other hand, coaching empowers you to be the expert in your own life. A coach helps you uncover hidden strengths, identify challenges that hinder change, and supports you in developing yourself. Coaching enables you to understand and attain your own needs independently. This process takes longer as it involves behavioral change but is more sustainable in the long run.

Q4: What’s the difference between life coaching and organizational development coaching?

Life Coaching is foundational to Organizational Development Coaching.  In OD Coaching, the organization is the client, it is the people – your strengths, your personal and professional challenges – who will be supported to ultimately deliver results for the organization.

Q5: What qualifications does the coach have?

Coach Safinaz Shariff, under ICF (INTERNATIONAL COACHING FEDERATION) training, is a Certified Life Coach, Certified Organizational Development Coach, Level 2 Master Coach, SHRM-SCP certified, PHRi certified, she also has a Masters in Counseling from USA, and has 15 years of OD and HR experience in Kuwait.

Q6: How long are the coaching sessions?

Sessions typically last  60 minutes. However, this can vary based on the package and the specific needs of the client.

Q7: What is the process to get started?

You may contact Coach Safinaz directly at her email safinaz@olifecoaching.us The first step is to schedule a complimentary initial consultation which is referred to as the Chemistry Call. During this meeting, you can discuss your goals with Coach Safinaz and determine the best coaching package for your needs.

Q8: How are we going to have the sessions?  Is it face to face?

All of Safinaz’s coaching sessions are conducted virtually.  This can be through zoom, teams, or whatsapp video.

What if I want face to face?

That’s something you can discuss with Safinaz about during the Chemistry Call.

Q9: Who are OLC’s clients?

Under ICF ethical guidelines, we don’t share clients’ names, without their permission.  More is explained in the OLC Policy which you will receive after our first call.

Q10: What if I need to reschedule a session?

We understand that schedules can change. Please notify Coach Safinaz at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule a session, and we will do our best to accommodate you.  More is explained in the OLC Policy which you will receive after the Chemistry Call.

Q11: Is there a commitment period for the coaching packages?

Our packages are designed to be flexible. We recommend committing to a package that fits your goals, whether it’s a month, three months, or more, to see the best results.  This is discussed in our very first complimentary Chemistry Call.

Q12: What if I decide I don’t want coaching anymore, do I get a refund?

According to our policy, no refunds will be issued.  However for any unused hours, you can gift them to someone else, as long as they are also interested and willing to be coached.

Q13: What kind of results can I expect from life coaching?

Results vary depending on individual goals and commitment. Clients often see improvements in areas such as career development, personal growth, relationships, and overall wellbeing.  The outcome weighs heavily on client commitment in executing agreed upon action steps.

Q14: Is everything confidential?

All conversations are absolutely confidential between you and your coach. In fact, we will ask you to sign a two-way confidentiality agreement.  We adhere to the ICF ethical guidelines. More is explained in the OLC Policy which you will receive after our first call.

Q15: What if I felt like I didn’t benefit from the coaching?

This is something you will need to share with your coach.  A good coach always welcomes feedback.  But remember, that coaching is action-oriented, so there will be actions and accountability and a high commitment level expected from the client.  That’s why you will have the initial Chemistry Call to see if coaching is right for you at this time in your life.
