There’s something special about 23 September. It’s not only a date on the calendar .It’s a reminder of how unity transforms destinies. When King Abdulaziz laid the foundations of this nation, it was more than the merging of lands; it was the birth of a shared dream, a vision that continues to shape every generation.

On this day, I find myself asking: what does belonging mean? Belonging isn’t just about waving a flag or joining a celebration; it’s about carrying the values of a nation in our everyday lives. It’s about the pride that stirs when you hear the national anthem, the sense of purpose that rises when you see how far the Kingdom has come, and the responsibility each of us holds to honor that journey.

Saudi National Day is also a mirror. It reflects where we’ve been struggles, victories, sacrifices and where we are heading. It’s  a future brimming with innovation, culture, and ambition under Vision 2030. It reminds me that nations, like people, grow by holding on to their roots while reaching for the sky.

Most of all, this day is a call to gratitude. Gratitude for peace, for stability, for leaders who dare to dream big, and for the chance to play even a small part in the story of this land.

As the streets turn green with flags and lights, I feel that National Day is not only a celebration.

It’s a moment of reflection, a whisper from history telling us: unity is strength, and the future belongs to those who believe in it.
