“All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story or tell a story about them.” – Karen Blixen

Everything screeched to a halt in December of 2017. A brain aneurysm pressed pause on my doctoral studies, marathon running, and community involvement; this abrupt change forced me to reevaluate how I was leading my life and rethink my priorities.

In addition to my physical rehabilitation, coaching was instrumental in helping me find a way back to myself and find the courage to seek professional help to process my trauma. Coaching offered me the opportunity to openly examine, explore, and reacquaint myself with who I am.  It started me on a journey of living a value-aligned life in earnest – to become who I wanted to be.

From anger and grief to acceptance and joy, my journey of recovery transformed the way I show up as a human “being” rather than a human “doing”. My recovery has evolved into an ongoing  journey of reflection, discovery, learning, and growth.

This is precisely why I became a professional coach – to spark insights, clarity, inspiration, and clear action in partnership with my clients, so that they can craft and lead their version of life well lived.

As a cis-gendered, heterosexual, and abled-bodied settler and uninvited guest, I respectfully acknowledge and thank the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking QayQayt (qiqéyt) First Nations on whose unceded and traditional territories I am privileged to live, learn, play, teach, and work upon.
