The life events that I’ve experience over time continue to reinforce this idea that there are different areas (financial, marital, relationship, spiritual, professional, personal…) where we can have a sense of “well being.”  In my experience, having a sense of  well being can be strengthened or hindered when one or more of these areas is nourished or starved.  My sense of well being has often had people, events, books, training, conversations, therapy etc. help me rethink how I want to focus my attention and effort and be more deliberate with how I act.  For me, coaching provides a person with an opportunity to reframe context, adjust to new possibilities, identify hidden biases and work or take action toward a new awareness.

Academic / professional background…I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master’s degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Tulane University.  In 2015 I graduated from Georgetown University’s International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) accredited Leadership Coaching program.  For the past 24 years I’ve been working in various technical and management roles for a software company called SAS.

Personal background…I love spending time outdoors either hiking, fishing, backpacking or riding my dirt bike.  My wife and I live in Reston, VA and have three adult children attending universities in Virginia.
