We work together through questions that get you thinking about how you’re going to get the thing done. Exploratory questions. Hypothetical questions. Sometimes, very challenging questions. And most importantly: inspiring questions. The ones that will make you want to know what you could and CAN do. (If you choose to use LEGO® there might also be questions like, ‘What exactly IS that?’ and ‘Did you ever find that eyeball that fell under the desk?’.)

By the end of the session you will have decided what steps you will take to get closer to what you want to do and what impact it will have.

The key thing is that you will have the space to find your way through those things that are stopping you. When you’ve done that, you will have the way forward.

As a professional coach my role is to make sure that we are equally involved in the process, working together to have the greatest possible positive effect on you.

Like the burning desire you had when you said ‘yes’ to that new thing, it can get intense. That means I need to ensure that I am compassionate and respectful, and that you are respecting yourself. If it gets too challenging, or you are feeling too much discomfort, we will take a break or re-negotiate the next steps.

Sessions are always confidential (other than in extreme circumstances, such as you telling me of an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others). If you can’t be honest and open with me, you can’t be open and honest with yourself – so your personal information is the one thing that doesn’t go anywhere.

How long does it take?

There is no ‘one size fits all’ session or programme, and it might depend on how much time you are able to commit. Some people benefit from short, sharp sessions and others like to have time to think things through. Here are a couple of potential scenarios with very different clients.

Clear goal, not much time

You need to complete a qualification in six months’ time.

Work is very busy and you can only fit coaching into your lunch break.

– A six-month period of regular, consistent sessions
– 30-minute, super-focused calls about short-term action steps
– Extra support around the time of any exams
– Debriefing about your experiences and how to capitalise on them

Changes needed, but what are they?

You’ve reached a point where you’re not sure which way is up.

You want to make decisions without putting too much pressure on yourself.

– An opening 90-minute session using LEGO® to find your feet
– 60-minute calls determining your next area of focus
– Flexible timing between sessions to allow you to complete goals
– Reflective practices you can do in your own time

Endorsements and Testimonials

Here is what clients think of getting To The Front:

“I really liked that you were just asking questions and allowing me to find my own answers and being quite persistent with it – it massively helped me out not only on the goal but also see where I’m lacking in other areas of my professional life. One of the big ‘a-ha’ moments was when you guided me to discover to do things in small, digestible chunks. Now I’m applying it into my whole life, and I’m able to do more things instead of overwhelming myself with huge ideas and either not doing them or collapsing.”

“For me, a scrum master that lives and breathes incremental change, this was very confronting. A major eye-opener in how I as a person work and what makes me tick. It has been a privilege working with Jenny. She has made my way of working so much more effective and enjoyable.”

“Jenny is incredibly insightful and knowledgeable when conducting her sessions. I always feel heard and understood as Jenny is able to quickly and seamlessly adapt her coaching style to my proposed goal, and she does so brilliantly. Jenny creates the space and asks the key questions that allow me to reflect and explore ways to achieve my goals. I truly feel listened to but also challenged to consider my own strengths and will to step out of my comfort zone. This is why I have noticed an improvement in my confidence and greater enthusiasm to take action towards my goals.”

“Always on time and ready to coach me on subjects that have been a real sticking point for me in the past. Through, asking very focussed questions, she has allowed me to think in ways that unlocked potential that was otherwise hidden.”
