Leadership Coach

Being a leadership coach means I go on journeys of discovery with my clients – where they are, where they want to be, and how they will get there. Together we examine the stories clients are telling themselves about their present situation and their desired future, and we re-write those narratives for a positive outcome. I work with individuals, teams that have a unified objective, and groups whose members have a common background and who want to achieve individual objectives. In every coaching relationship, we’re focused on meeting my clients’ challenges in moving forward.

I became a leadership coach after practicing environmental law, mediating disputes in business, real estate, and employment, and leading a community-based nonprofit organization. Years of experience with boards of directors and church councils add to my professional background.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career path has been the opportunity to continue learning in each phase; coaching is no exception. To support my coaching, I’ve earned credentials from the International Coaching Federation, grief/loss coaching (Coaching at End of Life), and the Narrative Coach Program.

I’m a San Diegan who transplanted from Wisconsin, and I appreciate the range of experiences and network of colleagues and friends I’ve gained. When I’m not coaching, I enjoy creating watercolor and digital art (see the photos on this website), reading mysteries, hiking, birdwatching, and photographing nature.
