CLIENT CHALLENGES

Here are selected case studies from a sample of my clients.

Case Study One

Business Pre-condition:

Start-up consulting and service firm launching a unique service offering to the market.

Issue:

Three very strong women from three different generations who where experiencing a gradual increase in frustration as they worked to build and operate the new company. Communication styles and resulting gaps were leaving team members frustrated at times.

Objectives:

Teach and support these leaders to operate effectively, build the business and drive the planned revenues.

Approach and Results:

Through business coaching we identified company “Core Values”, the “Noble Cause” and established a process to honour, work with and develop these outcomes into the business. Additionally, by becoming aware of the different personality profiles/types and how the different styles complement each other, the issues with differences dissipated over time. Lastly we trained and supported the implementation of the new communication tools. These tools helped in many areas such as giving members permission to talk about issues that were previously taboo and/or swept under the carpet, and quickly making team decisions.

Impact

The Business was successful in its first year, the co-owners work well together and they were pleased with their sales results in the first year.

 

Case Study Two

Business Pre-condition:

Established dental practice purchased another practice and merged the operation into one downtown location. The dentist was a very strong practionier and she led different key initiatives at the industry level.

Issue:

Business results were poor compared to plan, customer retention was weak and staff were not happy working with each other. The dentist was a perfectionist.

Objectives:

Teach the dentist how to manager and communicate more effectively and align the staff on how to  operate effectively, build the business and drive the  revenues.

Approach and Results:

Establish a new role to oversee customer relationships and take some workload off the dentist. This role has a positive ROI as it had revenue target as part of the KPI’s. Delivered a team building session and provided training to  owner in the area of leadership, communication  and management effectiveness.

Impact

The team delivered improved service and sales increased gradually over the next 8 moths back to the business plan targets.
